At Polyola, we enable surfboard manufacturers to create high-performance surfboards with a smaller environmental footprint. Our polyola™ materials are made from recycled and renewable resources, significantly reducing CO2 impact while delivering performance that meets—or even exceeds—the standards of traditional materials.

Just as surfboard design evolves, we believe the materials should evolve too — while respecting the tradition of board building. This believe sparked the initial idea of developing environmentally responsible, high performance materials and still guides our decisions today.

For the last 70 years, polyurethane foam and polyester resin have shaped surfboard design and defined surf culture. These materials are reliable, easy to work with, and create the unique feeling surfers chase. However, their production comes at a cost: contributing to the degradation of marine ecosystems and accelerating the climate crisis—impacting the very oceans we rely on as surfers and as a planet.
